This is Yuuki btw, a freaking huge collie..

During the 2nd week, I was hosted by the Takano Family. My 2nd host mom deliberately took the week off just to host me. :) like I’ve said, they are super kind people.. because i was awfully sick (horrible cold), my 1st host mum lend me her jackets, coats.. maybe she thought that i was wearing very thin for the winter, but in actually fact is, i caught the cold because of her daughter not switching on the heater during the night.. (T.T) and did i mention her daughter makes loud music when she sleeps?.. haha (if you get what i mean).. it was hard to be separated with the Shigemitsus’, but getting to know another family was even harder, especially in a short period of one week.. :(

Anyway, cut the crap.. Firstly, my host father took me to his hospital for a quick tour and also to attend my host sister’s Christmas concert in the hospital, she plays the guitar very well. My host sister, Sachiko is a very busy pharmacist, on working days I only get to see her for 5 seconds to say “ohaiyo” before she leaves for work and she usually comes back home very late at night.

Throughout the week, host mom drove me around to art galleries, museums, temples, parks just to name a few. It was incredible being able to visit those places and to know more about Japanese lifestyle and culture. I’ve even tried on a Kimono, which was very tight!

we had omochi after visiting the temple..

Though, the most significant part was going Mount Aso, whereby was the most breathtaking mountain I’ve ever seen! I’ve never felt so close to nature. There, I experienced snow, live volcano, and hot spring (onsen). Visiting the volcano was a torture because it was excruciatingly windy and FREEZING COLD! Yet, it was satisfying because the view was immensely awesome and it’s only a 40-minute drive away from Kumamoto city.

there are horses behind the field.. but you can’t see it.. too bad..
